DESCRIPTION

Process Plant Layout & Piping Design covers the terminology and concepts needed for equipment layout within the process plant and the building of a complete chemical process. In this course you will learn the importance of equipment placement, spacing and orientation as applied in chemical engineering and Oil & Gas industries. You will also get practical skills in P&ID generation, plant layout & pipe routing using a 3D software.

Besides the needed theoretical knowledge about Process Plant Layout, you will have a unique chance to learn the practical use of AutoCAD Plant 3D software as a 3D modeling tool for Process Plant Layout design. You will be able to develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot layouts and 3D models with proper project documentation.

 

OBJECTIVE

At the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Introduction to AUtodesk Plant 3D in plant layout & piping design
  • Generation of PFDs, P&IDs, 3D Structures, Equipment and 3D pipe routing in Autodesk Plant 3D
  • Report generation in AP3D
  • 3D Visualization – Linking AP3D and Cinema 4D
